There are various shape, sizes and different colors helmets available on the market. Choosing the best motorcycle helmets is almost have to you. But a few factors also be considered before buying a best helmet.

Features of a best motorcycle helmets that will protect you


A helmet mainly contains four protective features

Outer Shell:  

 The outer shell is made of the fiber reinforced composites, which will contact with the material during an accident. It also called primary protection for the head.

Impact- 

Absorbing Liner: It is usually made of Styrofoam which protects the head from deflecting and continue to absorb shock.

Comfort Padding: 

 This portion is directly touched with our head which helps us to fell comfort our head

Retention system: 

 It is also called chin strap. This chin strap helps us to stay helmet on our head while an accident occurs.

Before choosing helmets, we also need to be ensuring that the helmet is either DOT approved or Snell. We need to confirm it by its sticker on the helmets. Such as DOT or Snell. DOT means Department of Transportation and the Snell which is a Memorial Foundation

Impact, Penetration, Retention and peripheral vision also need to be ensured before buying a helmet.
Comfort Feature:  There are several design helmets are available in the market.

1.    Full Face Helmets: This helmet fully covers both face and head. It also has a moveable shield that protects our eye. It’s called face shield too.
2.    Open Face helmets:  It is almost like full face helmets. But exception is it has no moveable shield

3.    Half Helmets: It only protects the riders head not face at all. It is not recommended for race or riders.
